About The Position

We are First Nations, your local in-home support agency. Now interviewing candidates for various in-home support positions with different population needs in Cokato, MN region. Part-time hours are available. Approximately 5 hours/week. Competitive Wage: $17.00/hour We carefully consider each candidate's experience, education, flexibility, availability, and reliability. Requirements

Ability to pass DHS background check/no conflicting criminal history record
Must have the ability and willingness to work within a variety of assigned complex needs/population service lines/positions based on experience and availability.
You must be able to demonstrate the ability to appropriately follow laws, respect individuals' homes, speak appropriately, while following policies and procedures, including but not limited to mandatory incident and emergency reporting.
2+ yrs experience required as a DSP
Required experience serving in the capacity of Residential Living (Group/Foster Home), Crisis/Mental Health Center, Independent Living Skills Specialist (ILS), Individual Home Supports (IHS), Peer Support Specialist, or Mental Health Technician OR equivalent education metrics.
A dependable vehicle and an active driver’s license with insurance are mandatory.

Nice To Haves

1+ yrs experience preferred as a Caregiver/PCA
Experience in a caregiving capacity such as babysitting, childcare assistance, or professionally as a Patient Care Assistant, Home Health Aide (HHA), Resident Assistant (RA).
A Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred (but not required).
No experience necessary for Homemaker Services
Personal housekeeping and customer service experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

Abide by HIPAA and MN Department of Human Services Statutes
Adhere to all policies and procedures in the MN DHS statutes as listed in assigned service line, including proper incident and emergency reporting.
Complete all service-specific MN DHS online, in-office, and in-person meetings and training courses by the assigned deadlines (Relias/STARs).
Exercise good judgment and discretion, work independently with minimal supervision while following safety standards, policies, instructions, and support plans. Provide appropriate feedback and maintain boundaries. Empathy, connection, and consideration are essential. All staff members should endeavor to exemplify the virtues and principles they would wish to receive in return.
Efficiently navigates electronic verification for payroll, adheres to all billing policies, and follows documentation/shift-note standards.
Collaborates with individuals to maintain a stable, flexible schedule, troubleshoot issues, and communicate recurring conflicts effectively.
Handle housekeeping tasks such as taking out garbage, vacuuming, doing dishes, doing laundry, changing linens, dusting, mopping, cleaning surfaces, and cleaning bathrooms.
Move up to 40 lbs as needed.
