About The Position

Direct Support Professional (DSP) - Part-Time, Evenings. This role supports individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, and complex needs in a home and community setting. The goal is to help people live more independently, try new things, and stay connected to their community. This involves assisting with personal care and daily living tasks, while also encouraging growth, independence, and dignity. It is described as hands-on work for patient, dependable individuals who find purpose in helping others live fuller lives.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED, or 5 years of documented caregiving experience
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Valid driver’s license (held for at least one year)
• Access to a registered, insured vehicle
• Ability to pass background checks
• Reliable, responsible, and compassionate approach to caregiving

Nice To Haves

• Experience in caregiving, healthcare, CNA work, behavioral health, or human services is helpful but not required.

Responsibilities

• Build meaningful, respectful relationships with the individuals you support
• Assist with daily living skills like hygiene, meals, and routines
• Support goals such as budgeting, communication, exercise, and nutrition
• Encourage participation in community activities and daily engagement
• Provide calm, consistent support for individuals with behavioral needs
• Help maintain a safe, positive, and respectful home environment
• Work closely with your team to support each person’s goals
