About The Position

Cerebral Palsy Association of the North Country is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for its Residential Services team. No prior experience is required, and paid training is provided. Caregiving, healthcare, human services, or direct-care experience is helpful. The organization will try to place employees near home when possible to reduce transportation challenges and support work-life balance. Current openings at Pleasant Valley include two full-time positions at 40 hours per week and one part-time position at 32 hours per week. All listed schedules are 1:00 PM–9:30 PM, with specific weekday and weekend rotations. The position pays $18.90 per hour, paid biweekly, and reports to the House Manager. Paid orientation and training include Medication Certification training. Employees may also have opportunities to earn free college credits, nationally recognized DSP certifications, and additional professional development through SUNY and OPWDD-supported programs. Eligible employees may receive benefits including medical, dental, and vision insurance; a Flexible Spending Account; life insurance and disability coverage; a 401(k) with employer matching; paid vacation, sick, personal, and holiday time; and educational and professional development opportunities. Eligible new hires who begin employment between October 1, 2026, and November 18, 2026, may receive a sign-on bonus: $1,000 for full-time positions, $750 for part-time positions, or $500 for per diem positions. Half is paid in the December 18, 2026 paycheck and the remainder after six months of employment.
