About The Position
Join our Norfolk team in the Ocean View neighborhood as a PT Overnight Direct Support Professional and help individuals with developmental disabilities live their best lives – all while enjoying a fun, flexible job with room to grow. This is an "awake" position. You will have the opportunity to go to concerts, amusement parks, and community outings with the people you support, helping them build independence and reach their goals. We offer free paid training and a Career Pathways Program for growth.
Requirements
- Lift up to 50lbs.
- Valid Driver's License
- Reliable transportation
- Satisfactory Criminal Background Check
Nice To Haves
- Ability to assist individuals with completing activities of daily living.
- Experience through education or work history that demonstrates reliability/dependability.
- Skill to complete satisfactorily: Medication Certification, Medicaid Waiver Certification, First Aid/CPR, Mandt, and other requirements associated with orientation.
- Ability to work effectively in a team.
- Ability to make decisions and exercise good judgment.
- Skill in locating and accessing community resources.
