About The Position

Merakey is seeking mission-driven, compassionate, and reliable individuals to join their team as Direct Support Professionals. This role involves supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to build independence, develop social and communication skills, and navigate daily living activities. The position offers the opportunity to be a mentor, coach, and advocate, making a positive impact on the lives of others. No prior experience is required as paid training is provided.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years old
• Valid driver's license required

Nice To Haves

• High School diploma/G.E.D. preferred
• Related experience is helpful

Responsibilities

• Provide direct care and support with activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation
• Support life skills development, including household tasks and social skills
• Provide community support, transportation
• Promote health, safety, and well-being, including medication support (as trained)
• Complete required documentation, progress notes, and service logs
