About The Position
Join our team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) in our newly remodeled adult day program, where you'll help adult participants stay active, engaged, and connected. This is the perfect opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, encouraging independence, and making each day meaningful.
Requirements
- A caring, dependable, and positive attitude.
- Enjoys working with older adults.
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to pass required background checks and meet state employment requirements.
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a DSP, caregiver, CNA, or in a related field is helpful but not required—we're happy to train the right person!
Responsibilities
- Provide compassionate support and supervision for adult participants during the day.
- Assist with personal care needs as needed.
- Encourage independence while ensuring participant safety and well-being.
- Lead and participate in fun activities such as games, crafts, music, exercise, outings, celebrations, and group events.
- Help create a warm, welcoming, and engaging atmosphere where participants can socialize and enjoy their day.
- Assist with meals and light housekeeping related to the program.
- Observe participants and communicate any changes to the manager.
- Work as part of a caring team dedicated to exceptional service.
