About The Position

Provide direct care and supervision to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in a structured day program setting. Support individuals with daily living activities such as hygiene, mobility, eating, and personal care, while promoting dignity and independence. Facilitate and participate in group and individual activities—including arts and crafts, games, music, exercise, and life skills—that encourage social interaction, personal growth, and confidence. Drive the company van to transport participants to community outings such as bowling, parks, museums, and other recreational or educational events. Foster a safe, respectful, and joyful environment both within the program facility and during off-site activities. Assist individuals in setting and working toward personal goals that build life skills and meaningful relationships. Monitor and document participant progress, behaviors, and incidents accurately and in a timely manner. Communicate effectively with team members, supervisors, and families to ensure consistent, high-quality care. Adhere to all program policies, state regulations, and ethical standards related to disability services. Participate in ongoing staff training and professional development to maintain certifications and enhance service delivery.

Requirements

  • Valid RealID
  • Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record
  • Kind, patient, and upbeat personality
  • Comfortable working with adults with disabilities
