About The Position

The Department for Persons with Disabilities (DPD) is seeking dedicated, caring, and compassionate individuals to work in their Group Homes as Direct Support Professionals/Overnight Residential Counselors. This role is primarily responsible for assisting residents with their personal health, safety, and welfare. Responsibilities include helping with personal care (bathing/toileting), participating in cleaning, cooking, and life skills development, and administering or assisting with medication. Effective communication with supervisors, co-workers, and residents is essential. The role also involves driving residents to and from programs and community activities using agency vehicles, daily documentation of services, and assisting with community-based activities.

Requirements

Motivated to work as part of a team that acts in the best interest of our residents at all times.
High school diploma or equivalent.
A valid (non-provisional) driver's license.
Ability to meet the physical requirements of CPR/First Aid and our emergency evacuation procedures.
Successful completion/passing of criminal background check, reference check, DMV check, fingerprinting, pre-employment physical, and drug test.

Nice To Haves

Experience with ID/DD population is a plus.

Responsibilities
