About The Position
Advancing Opportunities, an affiliate of Apis Services, is seeking compassionate and dependable individuals to join our team as Part-Time Overnight Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) at our Toms River group home, supporting adults with disabilities. This overnight role offers the opportunity to make a meaningful difference while assisting residents in a safe, supportive environment.
Requirements
- 20 years or older
- High School Diploma or GED
- Valid driver’s license
- Ability to successfully complete State and Federal criminal background checks
- Ability to successfully complete Drug screening
- Ability to successfully complete Pre-employment physical and PPD
- Willingness to complete all required orientation and pre-service training
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living skills (cooking, housekeeping, hygiene)
- Support health and wellness, including personal medical care
- Encourage community participation and social engagement
- Promote emotional and social development (coping skills, communication, friendships)
- Support budgeting, money management, and other life skills
- Foster independence, dignity, and autonomy for residents
