PT Direct Support Professional
About The Position
Easter Seals of Tennessee is seeking compassionate and hardworking individuals to make profound positive differences in the lives of people with disabilities as they learn, work, and play in their communities. Our Direct Support Professionals (DSP) are exemplary reflections of our mission-driven work. DSPs provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration in our person-supported homes. They may also facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals in the community and support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support. We offer training for success and welcome individuals with or without previous experience.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Must have valid automobile insurance
- Basic computer skills
- Pass a background and drug screen.
Responsibilities
- Provide caregiver assistance with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and medication administration.
- Facilitate community involvement by accompanying individuals in the community.
- Support therapeutic and behavioral plans in partnership with clinical staff to enhance the quality of life for those we support.
