Direct Support Professional
About The Position
Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join their team at their program in Pemberton, NJ. The ideal DSP candidate will have a strong desire to create long-term impacts on individuals' lives and enjoy encouraging, mentoring, and coaching others to achieve their goals. This role involves fostering a sense of pride in individuals by teaching them to navigate daily living activities, such as housekeeping and laundry. Work is performed in accordance with appropriate procedures under the supervision of the House Manager. The role enhances independence by assisting with daily and personal activities.
Requirements
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must have a verifiable High School diploma/G.E.D.
- A valid driver's license is required.
- 1 year experience working with people with developmental disabilities.
Nice To Haves
- Dual Diagnosis experience is preferred.
- NADD DSP Certification training within first year of employment.
