As a Direct Support Professional, you’ll be part mentor, part advocate, part everyday Friend. You’ll help our participants grow their independence, learn new skills, express themselves, and experience the world around them.
Requirements
- HS Diploma/GED required
- Valid driver’s license & insurance required
- Empathetic individuals who stay calm under pressure
- Strong communicators
- Team players
- Comfort with personal-care support (training provided)

Responsibilities
- Encouraging communication, independence, & confidence
- Helping with everyday living skills
- Documenting daily activities
- Being patient, creative, supportive & inclusive
- Assisting with hygiene tasks
- Accompanying participants in the community
- Join our participants on community outings to restaurants, concerts, local sporting events and movies!
- Hike through Oak Openings and area Metroparks
- Transport participants to local fairs, festivals and Toledo attractions
- Build real relationships and real memories
