About The Position

This role is for a Direct Support Professional working the night shift. The company is a family-oriented organization that provides services to intellectually and developmentally challenged adults in their homes and community, assisting them in daily routines and recreational activities. Requirements

• A High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• At least 18 years old.
• Relevant experience working with Individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, dual diagnoses, or forensic involvement.
• A current driver’s license and California automobile insurance coverage for driving a personal vehicle.
• Ability to read, write and speak English.

• Bilingual in English/Spanish is preferred.
• Related experience in Assisted Living, Behavior Aide, Caregiver, Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs), Developmentally Disabled (DD), Job Coach, Direct Support Professional (DSP), Child Care, Elderly Care, Senior Care, Hospice Care, ILS, LVN, Autism, Special Education, Special Needs, ILS, SLS, Housekeeper, Driver, Cleaner, Home Health Aides (HHAs), Residential Care Facility Staff, In-home support, Med Tech, Personal Care Attendant, Day Program Staff or Adult Day Program.

Responsibilities

• Assist Individuals with their personal needs (e.g., hygiene, medication reminders).
• Assist Individuals with social needs (e.g., prepare meals, clean, engage in exercise/movement, games).
• Transport Individuals to community activities in a personal or company vehicle.
• Keep accurate progress notes.
• Proactively communicate information with the team about the Individuals’ needs.
• Participate in all required training, team, and company meetings.
• Take ownership of personal behaviors and help coach others in demonstrating company C.A.R.E. values (compassion, adaptability, respect, and empowerment).
