About The Position
ARISE/Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work with an active young man who enjoys nature and spending time with his family. One of his strengths is his ability to create digital designs/brochures/flyers. In this role, you will help him become more involved in community activities as well as supporting him with improving independent living and social skills. He is seeking a calm and friendly individual who has the ability to be flexible with planning activities and will accompany him to various community locations. The schedule is flexible and can be worked out with the family upon hire. Generally, the hours would be weekdays beginning sometime after 10:00 am.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Effective communication and organizational skills required
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required
- Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred
