About The Position

The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for providing direct services to clients through the implementation of designated plans, policies, and procedures. The DSP assists, counsels, and trains consumers in self-help and daily living skills while promoting independence, dignity, and choice. The DSP remains available to work hours dictated by the client’s needs and works closely with the Designated Coordinator and District Manager to support the daily operations of the home.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred
• CPR/First Aid (provided)
• Crisis intervention training (provided)

Responsibilities

• Providing direct services to clients through implementation of designated plans, policies, and procedures.
• Assisting, counseling, and training consumers in self-help and daily living skills.
• Promoting independence, dignity, and choice.
• Remaining available to work hours dictated by the client’s needs.
• Working closely with the Designated Coordinator and District Manager to support the daily operations of the home.
