About The Position

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals to join their team at their program in Jenkintown, PA. This role involves creating long-term impacts on consumers' lives by encouraging, mentoring, and coaching them to achieve their goals. Responsibilities include following Individual Support Plans, assisting with daily hygiene and personal care, and teaching daily living activities like housekeeping and laundry to enhance independence. No experience is required as paid training is provided.

Requirements

• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.

Nice To Haves

• Verifiable High School diploma/G.E.D preferred.
• Experience in a home health aide setting, or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental disabilities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Encouraging, mentoring, and coaching individuals to achieve their goals.
• Following the Individual Support Plan.
• Assisting with daily hygiene and personal care.
• Teaching individuals to navigate daily living activities, such as housekeeping and laundry.
