Direct Support Professional (DSP)
About The Position
BAYADA Home Health Care is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join their team in the Independence, MO areas. BAYADA caregivers work one-on-one in home and community settings as a companion and mentor for individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, helping them reach their full potential. The role offers a pay rate of $18.00-$19.50 commensurate with experience, part-time hours with the potential to reach 40 hours a week, flexible scheduling, short commute times, and mileage reimbursement for community-based travel with clients. Requirements
- One year experience working with intellectual and development disabilities
- High school diploma or equivalent
Responsibilities
- Provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming)
- Accompany clients on errands and appointments
- Spend time on the favorite hobbies and activities of the client
- Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation
- Participate in community integration activities
