About The Position
This role is with a family-oriented company that provides services to intellectually and developmentally challenged adults in their homes and community, assisting them in participating in daily routines and recreational activities. Requirements
- A High School diploma or GED equivalent and be at least 18 years old
- Relevant experience working with Individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, dual diagnoses, or forensic involvement
- A current driver’s license and California automobile insurance coverage for driving your personal vehicle to and from various community locations either independently or with other team members and/or Individuals
- If a company vehicle is available for use, one must also be 21 years of age
- Ability to read, write and speak English

Responsibilities
- Assist Individuals with their personal needs (e.g., hygiene matters like baths/showers, changing clothes/adult briefs, teeth brushing, medication reminders, etc.) and with social needs (e.g., prepare meals, clean, and engage with them through exercise/movement, games and/or transporting them in your, or company, vehicle to community activities, etc.).
- Keep accurate progress notes and proactively communicate information with your team about the Individuals’ needs.
- Participate in all required training, team, and company meetings.
- Take ownership of your own behaviors, and help coach others over time, in how to effectively demonstrate the company’s C.A.R.E. values (compassion, adaptability, respect, and empowerment).
- Assist Individuals with having positive interactions with others and reaching their goals.
