About The Position
Indera is seeking a Direct Support Professional for a part-time position in North Syracuse, NY. The role involves supporting a 43-year-old female client with positive communication skills, independent living skills, participating in an exercise program/class, and engaging in her hobbies such as listening to music, reading, arts & crafts, and social settings. The client is independent and will request assistance as needed, including personal care. Additional hours may be available with other clients. The ideal candidate is creative, engaging, patient, and understands the client's independence.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Effective communication and organizational skills required.
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
- Reliable transportation to arrive at the job site at the scheduled time.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
- Creative, engaging, and patient demeanor.
Responsibilities
