About The Position

Fitzmaurice Community Services, Inc. is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide individualized support and care in a licensed community residential facility. The role assists adults with behavioral health and intellectual disabilities with daily living skills, personal care, and community engagement while promoting independence, dignity, and quality of life. The position is scheduled Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., for 40 hours per week. Paid training is provided, and no prior experience is required. The posting also lists benefits, a 403(b), AFLAC, and a $500 incentive for employees who are NADSP certified after completing the 90-day probationary period.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old.
Be able to pass and maintain Medication Certification and CPR/First Aid Certifications.
Provide and maintain a valid U.S. driver's license and be insurable under company policy.

NADSP certification is eligible for a $500 incentive after completion of the 90-day probationary period.

Responsibilities

Provide intensive individual support and personal care services to clients.
Promote independence and autonomy by teaching daily living and behavior management skills.
Engage clients in structured activities that encourage growth and participation.
Complete required documentation promptly, including time and attendance, daily logs, progress notes, and monthly reports.
Participate in ongoing communication and planning for individualized program implementation.
Administer medications and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.
Use the least intrusive intervention methods to support clients effectively.
Foster community integration by encouraging use of public resources and recreational opportunities.
Maintain strict confidentiality regarding client information.
