About The Position
Indera (formerly ARISE/EFR) is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide community habilitation services in the Ava, NY area with a friendly happy-go-lucky 10-year-old girl. The DSP must be dependable, compassionate, and attentive to her needs. Staff must enjoy interacting with children with disabilities and be proactive in helping her experience the world around her. She enjoys anything Christmas, drawing, and complete attention. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, patient, and caring. Prior experience is a plus but not necessary. Reliable transportation, a driver's license, and a high school diploma/GED are required. A background check, fingerprinting, and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the agency. Hiring for 2 days a week from 3:00 PM - 5:00 PM. Pay rate starts at $29. Indera (formerly ARISE/EFR) is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Reliable transportation.
- High school diploma/GED.
- Effective communication skills.
- Organizational skills.
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by Indera (formerly ARISE/EFR) technology policy.
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience is a plus but not necessary.
- Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
