About The Position

Wesley Glen Ministries is seeking full-time Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide care for adults with developmental disabilities in group homes. These homes provide 24/7 care for four adults each. The DSP role involves being an advocate, mentor, and supporter, helping residents achieve independence. The team works collaboratively to ensure residents thrive physically, emotionally, and socially.

Requirements

• Must be 21+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license for a minimum of 3 years and a clean 7-year driving history.
• Pass a background check & drug screening.
• CPR/First Aid certification (or willing to get certified).
• Able to lift/carry 15+ lbs and assist adults up to 300 lbs.
• Comfortable working in various conditions, including outdoor activities and occasional high-stress situations.

Responsibilities

• Create a safe, clean, and engaging home environment.
• Support residents with daily life skills including meal preparation, hygiene, and housekeeping.
• Ensure proper medication management and documentation.
• Facilitate social activities and skill-building opportunities to encourage personal growth.
• Accurately document progress and communicate updates to the team.
• Drive residents to appointments, community events, and recreational activities.
• Engage in problem-solving and adapt to challenges.
• Be a reliable and punctual team player.
