About The Position

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join their team at their program in Willingboro, NJ. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong desire to make a long-term impact on the lives of others, enjoying encouraging, mentoring, and coaching them to achieve their goals. DSPs will spend their days in various settings, creating memories with individuals by following their Individual Support Plan. This includes working on social and communication skills at the park and sensory gardens, assisting with daily hygiene and personal care to enhance independence, and teaching daily living activities like housekeeping and laundry to foster pride.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must have a verifiable High School diploma/G.E.D.
• Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a home health aide setting, or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Prefer candidates have their own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Encouraging, mentoring, and coaching individuals to achieve their goals.
