The Arc Westchester is seeking compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professionals to join our team. This role offers a rewarding career where you can make a real difference in someone's life. The position is available for both full-time and part-time employment and includes a $2,000 sign-on bonus.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED OR HHA/CNA certification (certifications can be expired) and or 2 years of related experience in leu of High School Diploma.
- Valid NYS driver's license for at least 2 years
Nice To Haves
- Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities or in a caregiving role.
- Certification in CPR and First Aid.
- Training in behavior management techniques or related fields.
- Familiarity with electronic documentation systems.
Responsibilities
- Provide personalized support to individuals with developmental disabilities (IDD) in residential settings and the community.
- Assist with daily living activities, including personal care, medication administration, and household chores.
- Facilitate leisure activities, social outings, and community involvement.
- Ensure the safety and well-being of individuals in your care.
- Transport individuals to appointments, activities, and outings.
