About The Position

Jill’s House is a Christian non-profit organization and auxiliary ministry of McLean Bible Church called by God to love individuals toward Jesus by providing them with short-term, overnight respite care and holistic family support services. We seek to proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ in word and deed to all our constituencies. Jill’s House is seeking Direct Support Professionals to care for individuals with intellectual disabilities in our fully accessible respite resort in Vienna, Virginia just outside of Washington, DC. Training and professional development is provided so experience is not required. We are especially in need of compassionate team members available to serve on Sundays. Your willingness to fill this need would be a tremendous blessing to the families we serve.

Requirements

Be at least 18 years old, high school graduate or GED.
Weekend shift availability is required.
Satisfactory oral and written communication skills are required.
Must possess strong collaboration and teamwork skills, patience, and a desire to learn new things and grow.
Must be able to lift at least 50 pounds and maintain stamina for long periods of time.
Must affirm the McLean Bible Church Vision and Values as well as abide by the Standards of Christian Conduct.

Nice To Haves

At least six months successful experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

The guidance and supervision of individuals to whom they are assigned.
Performing a combination of basic care, assistance with activities of daily living, and activity guidance in a safe, nurturing environment.
Following each client’s service plan and ensuring a positive and enjoyable experience for all participants.
