Requirements

  • A High School diploma or GED equivalent.
  • At least 18 years old.
  • Relevant experience working with Individuals with intellectual or developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, dual diagnoses, or forensic involvement.
  • A current driver’s license and California automobile insurance coverage for driving a personal vehicle.
  • Ability to read, write and speak English.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Individuals with personal needs such as hygiene, changing clothes/adult briefs, and teeth brushing.
  • Provide medication reminders.
  • Prepare meals and clean living spaces.
  • Engage Individuals in exercise/movement and games.
  • Transport Individuals to community activities using personal or company vehicles.
  • Keep accurate progress notes.
  • Proactively communicate information with the team about Individuals' needs.
  • Participate in all required training, team, and company meetings.
  • Take ownership of personal behaviors and help coach others in demonstrating company C.A.R.E. values (compassion, adaptability, respect, and empowerment).
  • Receive ongoing coaching and performance feedback.
  • Be recognized for personal and team contributions and for demonstrating C.A.R.E. values.
