About The Position
Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join their team in New Castle, DE. The role involves creating long-term impacts on individuals' lives by encouraging, mentoring, and coaching them to achieve their goals. This includes fostering pride by teaching daily living activities like housekeeping and laundry. Work is performed under the supervision of a House Manager, with a focus on enhancing independence by assisting with daily and personal activities.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license.
- Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.
Nice To Haves
- Verifiable High School diploma/G.E. D preferred.
- Experience in a home health aide setting, or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental disabilities is preferred.
Responsibilities
