About The Position
Merakey is seeking mission-driven, compassionate, and reliable individuals to join their team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) in Greensburg or Jeannette, PA. This role involves supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities to build independence, develop skills, and navigate daily living activities. The position offers paid training, making it an opportunity for those new to caregiving or human services. DSPs act as mentors, coaches, and advocates, helping individuals with personal care, housekeeping, community engagement, and achieving personal goals.
Requirements
- Must be 18 years of age.
- Must have a Valid Driver's License.

Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support with activities of daily living (ADLs)
- Assist with personal care, hygiene, mobility, and meal preparation
- Support life skills development, including household tasks and social skills
- Provide community support, transportation
- Promote health, safety, and well-being, including medication support (as trained)
- Complete required documentation, progress notes, and service logs
