About The Position

Merakey is hiring Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for its program in Newark, Delaware. The role supports individuals with daily and personal activities and helps them build independence. DSPs encourage, mentor, and coach individuals toward their goals, including teaching daily living activities such as housekeeping and laundry. Work is performed according to appropriate procedures under the supervision of the House Manager, who reviews work through observations, inspection of living areas, reports, and periodic meetings. No experience is required, and paid training is provided. The posting lists pay at $18.75 per hour, or $20.75 per hour with the selection of Enhanced Pay.

Requirements

Must be at least 18 years old.
Must possess a valid driver’s license.
Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.

Nice To Haves

Verifiable high school diploma or GED preferred.
Experience in a home health aide setting or a school setting working with people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities is preferred.
