About The Position

Merakey is hiring Direct Support Professionals for its program in Newtown Square, Pennsylvania. The role supports individuals in achieving their goals and building independence. Staff follow each individual’s Support Plan and work across a variety of settings, encouraging social and communication skills through activities such as visits to parks and sensory gardens. The position also involves helping individuals with hygiene and personal care and teaching daily living activities such as housekeeping and laundry. No experience is required; paid training is provided.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.

Nice To Haves

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Experience in a home health aide setting or a school setting working with people who have intellectual and developmental disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow each individual's Individual Support Plan.
• Encourage, mentor, and coach individuals to help them achieve their goals.
