About The Position

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSP) to join their team at their program in Moon Twp, PA. This role is ideal for individuals with a strong desire to create long-term impacts on individuals' lives, enjoying encouraging, mentoring, and coaching others to achieve their goals. The DSP will spend their days in various settings, making memories with individuals by following their Individual Support Plan. This includes activities like visiting parks and sensory gardens, working on social and communication skills, and teaching daily living activities such as personal care, housekeeping, and laundry to foster independence and pride. The goal is to enhance independence by assisting with daily and personal activities.

Requirements

  • Current valid Driver’s license

Responsibilities

  • Encouraging, mentoring, and coaching individuals to achieve their goals.
  • Following the Individuals Support Plan to engage individuals in activities.
  • Teaching daily living activities such as personal care, housekeeping, and laundry.
