About The Position
Indera is seeking a Direct Support Professional to work in the Syracuse area with a young lady who requires assistance due to a developmental delay. She is looking for a dedicated staff to provide her with support and assist her with maintaining her independence both at home and in community settings. Responsibilities include but are not limited to assisting with transportation to multiple activities including driving lessons. She enjoys pottery, art, and going to the park as well. We are looking for individuals who are reliable, patient, energetic and enthusiastic. Prior experience a plus. Reliable transportation and a HS diploma/GED are required. Background check, fingerprinting and DMV record check will be conducted prior to hire by the non-profit agency. Work hours very based on individual needs, the pay rate is $30 per hour.
Requirements
- Valid driver's license
- Reliable transportation
- High school diploma/GED
- Technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
- Effective communication and organizational skills
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule
Nice To Haves
- Prior experience a plus
- Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred
