About The Position

This is a part-time position for a Direct Support Professional working every other weekend from 10 am to 6 pm in Camden, AR. The role involves providing quality care, direction, guidance, and assistance to customers with their daily activities. This includes helping with personal care, meal planning, dressing, grooming, medication management, and household tasks. The position also requires helping customers keep appointments, providing transportation for errands, and acting as a companion. A key aspect of the role is assisting customers in achieving their goals for improved quality of life and community integration. Daily written updates of shift activities must be provided via an online platform. Additionally, the Direct Support Professional will observe the customer's condition and surroundings to ensure safety and success, including monitoring equipment and materials. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Understands and endorses ICM’s mission and vision
  • Follows all ICM policies, procedures and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and asks for clarification and explanation when needed

Responsibilities

  • Providing quality care, direction, guidance, and help to customers with daily activities, such as bathing and bathroom functions, feeding, planning menus, dressing, grooming, taking medication and/or administering treatments, and housework.
  • Help customers make and keep appointments, provide or arrange transportation to run errands and serve as a companion
  • Help customer achieve agreed-upon goals to improve quality of life and integration into the community
  • Provide written daily updates of each shift’s activities using an online platform
  • Observe the customer’s condition and monitor the surroundings to ensure customer safety and success. This includes monitoring of equipment and materials
  • Perform other duties as assigned
