About The Position
Indera, formally known as ARISE/EFR, is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work with a kind, respectful, and friendly teenage girl in the Syracuse, NY area. The individual enjoys animals, swimming, baking, spending time with her family, and Disney music and movies. In this role, you will be assisting her with improving her money management, social, and safety awareness skills while out in the community. She has memberships to many local attractions and would like to explore new activities and locations. The ideal candidate would be upbeat and reliable with good communication skills. The schedule would be daytime weekday hours over the summer, beginning at or after 10:00 am. Specific days and hours are flexible and can be worked out with the family upon hire. The pay rate is $21.00 per hour.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license.
- Effective communication and organizational skills required.
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required.
- Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time.
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy.
Nice To Haves
- Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred.
