About The Position

Direct Support Professional (DSP) – Middlesex County Make a difference in people’s lives every day! We are seeking compassionate and dedicated Part Time - Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide on-site behavioral health care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities in a residential setting. The DSP plays a critical role in fostering a safe, therapeutic, and family-like environment where residents can thrive and achieve greater independence. Current Open Shift: Part Time – Saturday and Sunday, 9:00 am to 3:00 pm

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 2 years related work or life experience
• Valid NJ Driver’s License with good driving record (3 years’ history)
• Must be 21+ years old
• Ability to complete required trainings (CPR/First Aid, Medication Administration, etc.)
• Ability to pass drug screening, background check, and CARI check

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily living skills and personal care
• Administer medication and document services
• Support medical appointment and community recreational activities
• Maintain a safe, structured, home-like environment
• Maintain documentation on significant behavioral changes and notable incidents
• Act as a liaison and advocate for individuals and their families, facilitating access to community resources
• Maintain compliance with all state and federal regulations, EIHAB policies, and safety standards
