About The Position
BAYADA is seeking Direct Support Professional / Special Needs Caregivers to provide one-on-one care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This role focuses on helping individuals build confidence, strengthen everyday skills, and live more independently in their homes. The position offers a meaningful, relationship-centered work environment where caregivers can make a significant impact.
Requirements
- At least one year of experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- High school diploma or equivalent (18+)
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts and locations
- Reliable transportation and ability to drive clients to activities
- Willingness to travel between clients within your assigned area
Responsibilities
- Provide support with daily routines and personal care
- Help individuals build life skills and maintain independence
- Offer encouragement, consistency, and meaningful companionship
- Support engagement at home and within the community
