Provides direct support and serves as role model, advocate, and teacher for the people that we support. This role requires flexibility and a commitment to working with the population, following through on tasks within specified or appropriate timeframes, and complying with agency and OPWDD regulations and policies. The position involves physical demands such as lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, and bending associated with working with adults with physical disabilities. The role also requires the ability to assess individuals visually and auditorily, perform SCIP-R duties, and use normal household cleaning agents. Additionally, there may be requirements to work outdoors in temperate weather and drive in inclement weather.
