About The Position

Mozaic (A Chapter of The Arc NY) is seeking compassionate, caring individuals to join their team as Direct Support Professionals (DSPs). As a DSP, you will build meaningful relationships while empowering people with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live the lives they choose. This role involves assisting individuals with personal goals, learning new skills, participating in the community, and navigating daily routines, making a lasting impact. Mozaic is a mission-driven organization dedicated to helping over 2,000 people throughout the Finger Lakes region live more independent, fulfilling lives. Requirements

High School Diploma/GED
Valid NYS Driver's License

Nice To Haves

Experience with developmental disabilities is valued
Experience as a CNA, Health Aide, Caregiver, or DSP is a plus

Responsibilities

Support people with disabilities in achieving their personal goals, building independence, and living fulfilling lives in a residential setting.
Assist with daily activities such as meal preparation, personal care, and household responsibilities.
Encourage community involvement, social connections, and meaningful experiences.
Provide transportation to appointments, events, and activities.
Follow individualized support plans that promote choice, dignity, and respect.
Work closely with families, healthcare professionals, and other support team members to deliver quality, person-centered support.
Act as a trusted advocate, mentor, and source of encouragement.
Help people gain confidence, develop new skills, and thrive both at home and in their communities.
