About The Position

This role is for an individual who enjoys variety and thrives on solving staffing shortages while helping multiple teams. Shift days, hours, and work locations will vary depending on needs. Opportunities to become part-time or full-time are available for the right candidate. This is a great chance to try out the role and see if being a Direct Support Professional is for you. Requirements

• At least 18 years of age
• High school degree or GED
• Valid driver’s license
• Reliable transportation
• Clean driving record
• Ability to exercise good judgment
• Ability to build and maintain sustainable interpersonal relationships
• Empathetic individual
• Reliable and meets scheduling commitments

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience as an Ed Tech, CAN, BHP or PSS

Responsibilities

• Supervise, assist, and instruct supported individuals in activities designed to enhance their independence to include community and social activities.
• Assist LEAP’s supported individuals to care for their homes and personal possessions. When needed/directed, perform housekeeping tasks for residents who fail to do so.
• Report any unsafe conditions.
• General housekeeping, snow removal, vehicle upkeep and meal preparation.
• Paperwork/reporting/attending meetings, participating in training and other tasks as assigned.
