About The Position

Merakey is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to join their team in Marlton, NJ. This role involves creating long-term impacts on individuals' lives by encouraging, mentoring, and coaching them to achieve their goals. The DSP will foster pride by teaching daily living activities like housekeeping and laundry. Work is performed under the supervision of the House Manager, with evaluations based on observation, resident responsiveness, and reports. The goal is to enhance independence by assisting with daily and personal activities.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license.
• Must have a verifiable High School diploma/G.E.D.
• Must have a desire to help others reach their fullest potential.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a home health aide setting, or school setting working with people who have Intellectual and Developmental disabilities is preferred.
• Prefer candidates have their own transportation.

Responsibilities

• Encouraging, mentoring, and coaching individuals to achieve their goals.
• Teaching individuals to navigate daily living activities, such as housekeeping and laundry.
• Assisting with daily and personal activities to enhance independence.
