About The Position

Direct Support Professional - PRN Are you passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children, adolescents, and young adults ages 6–21 with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) and Behavioral/Mental Health (BH/MH) diagnoses? At Devereux, we’re looking for dedicated, compassionate, and energetic individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. Population Served: Children and adolescents ages 6–21 Pay: $19.50 - $19.75/hour based on education Shift Options :On Call As Needed Shift Differential: Additional $2.00/hour from 2:00pm–11:00pm Sign-On Bonus Paid out over the first 6 months of employment: Part-time: $500: $150 at 30 days | $150 at 90 days | $200 at 180 days

Requirements

• High-school Diploma or GED required
• Candidates must be at-least 21 years of age.
• Prior experience working with children in behavioral health preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and maintain the well-being of the individuals in your care at all times.
• Participate in daily ADLs, recreational, and social activities to encourage growth, confidence, and independence.
• Address and appropriately redirect inappropriate behaviors while reinforcing positive actions through supportive communication.
• Implement individualized treatment plan goals and objectives while working collaboratively with the clinical team to support each person’s development.
