Direct Support Professional LT-AC (60650)
About The Position
ARISE/Exceptional Family Resources is seeking a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to work with an active young man who enjoys swimming and video games. He is currently attending Inclusive U at Syracuse University. He is seeking an experienced, engaging, and motivating individual to work with over summer break, who will assist him with becoming more involved in community activities and strengthening independent living skills. Then, during fall semester, you will accompany him to his classes, assist with note taking, organization, time management, test accommodations, including reading questions to him in a separate area, and supporting him to complete his work. In addition, you will assist him with becoming more involved with campus activities.
Requirements
- Must have a valid driver's license
- Effective communication and organizational skills required
- Flexibility with assignments and schedule required
- Reliable transportation to arrive to job site at scheduled time
- Must have technology available to download multiple apps for use in the community and abide by ARISE/EFR'S technology policy

- Experience working with people with Developmental Disabilities preferred
