Direct Support Professional - Independent Contractor (CR)
About The Position
InReach is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) to provide companionship, care, and support to adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. This specific role involves providing Respite Services for a male individual with Developmental Disabilities in the Charlotte area (28269) for approximately 20 hours per week. The DSP will offer instruction and assistance in home living environments, help the individual identify and acquire valued social roles, facilitate community integration, and help the individual develop healthy social habits. Responsibilities also include dispensing medication and monitoring dosages, and transporting/accompanying the individual to various activities.
Requirements
- High school diploma (or GED)
- Valid driver's license
- Successfully pass a drug screen and background check
Nice To Haves
- One to two years of experience with the I/DD population
