Wall Residences provides high-quality community services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are currently seeking a part-time, experienced Direct Support Professional (DSP) for our In-Home Care services in the Christiansburg/New River Valley area in Virginia. This position will be part-time Tuesdays & Saturdays.

Requirements

• Detail-oriented and able to keep accurate notes to ensure continuity of quality care.
• Passionate about making a difference in your community and the lives of other people.
• Hiring dependent on references and criminal background check free of barrier crimes.
• Active driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.
• Minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
• No more than 2 moving violations or accidents within past 3 years.
• No major violations within past 5 years.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with domestic tasks such as laundry, cleaning, meal planning, cooking, and organizing.
• Help individuals enrich their own lives through exploring volunteer opportunities.
• Support personal care needs.
• Provide transportation.
• Provide any needed advocacy for medical/dental appointments.
• Assist with medication administration.
