About The Position

Wall Residences provides high-quality community services to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. We are currently seeking a part-time, experienced Direct Support Professional (DSP) for our In-Home Care services in the New River Valley area in Virginia. This position will be part-time Saturdays & Sundays.
Requirements
- Detail-oriented and able to keep accurate notes to ensure continuity of quality care.
- Active driver’s license with acceptable driving record required.
- Minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
- No more than 2 moving violations or accidents within past 3 years.
- No major violations within past 5 years.
Nice To Haves
- Experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP).
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals with domestic tasks such as laundry, cleaning, meal planning, cooking, and organizing.
- Help individuals enrich their own lives through exploring volunteer opportunities.
- Support personal care needs.
- Provide transportation.
- Provide any needed advocacy for medical/dental appointments.
- Assist with medication administration.
