About The Position

Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) at Omega Day Centers help individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities build independence, confidence, life skills, and meaningful community connections. This role is for compassionate, patient, and dependable individuals who enjoy helping others succeed.

Requirements

• A relevant work or life experience supporting individuals with disabilities.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with current insurance.
• Ability to travel within the community.
• Ability to successfully complete required background and drug screenings.
• Basic computer skills.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in disability services, caregiving, education, human services, behavioral health, coaching, or community-based programs.
• Experience in a people-focused role may be transferable if new to DSP work.

Responsibilities

• Support individuals with daily living, personal care, and life skills.
• Encourage independence, choice, confidence, and personal goals.
• Support community outings, recreational activities, volunteer opportunities, and social experiences.
• Help individuals learn new skills and explore new interests.
• Communicate with families, supervisors, and support teams.
• Follow individualized service plans and complete required documentation.
• Help maintain a safe, respectful, and welcoming environment.
