Direct Support Professional / Home Care Aide: Mon-Fri, 12pm - 8:30pm
About The Position
We are seeking compassionate, reliable team members to provide exceptional, specialized care in a supportive home setting. In this role, you will work as part of a collaborative 2-caregiver-to-1-client team, providing structured in-home support with personal hygiene care, life skills assistance, and companionship. Key qualifications include experience supporting individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder, implementing Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSP), and utilizing de-escalation/safety techniques. Position requires registration as a Home Care Aide (HCA) with the California Department of Social Services (CDSS), and we can assist qualified candidates through the state Live Scan and Guardian registration process.
Requirements
- Previous caregiver experience required
- Must register as a Home Care Aide with CDSS
- 18 years old and a High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and proof of automobile insurance are required
- Ability to pass a live scan background check and drug screening
- CPR certification
- TB test or chest x-ray
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Compassionate, patient, and dependable attitude
Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
- Assist clients with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation
- Provide companionship and emotional support
- Help with light housekeeping and laundry
- Monitor and report changes in clients’ well-being or behavior
- Follow care plans and safety protocols
- Assist with medication reminders
- Provide transportation or accompany clients to appointments as needed
- Foster independence and promote social interaction
