About The Position

An exceptional opportunity to make a difference as you earn a living! Wall Residences seeks a part-time and full-time, experienced Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for our group homes in the Fredericksburg, VA area.

Requirements

• Experience as a Direct Support Professional (DSP).
• Active driver's license with a good driving record.
• Minimum of 3 years of driving experience.
• No more than 2 moving violations or accidents within past 3 years.
• No major violations within past 5 years.
• Acceptable criminal background check free of barrier crimes.
• Good references.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with domestic tasks such as laundry, cleaning, meal planning, cooking, and organizing.
• Help individuals enrich their own lives through exploring volunteer opportunities.
• Support personal care needs.
• Provide transportation.
• Provide advocacy for medical/dental appointments.
• Assist with medication administration.
• Keep accurate notes to ensure continuity of quality care.
• Serve as mandated reporters of abuse and neglect for individuals with disabilities.
