About The Position

An exceptional opportunity to make a difference as you earn a living! Wall Residences seeks part-time, prn, and full-time, experienced Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for our group homes in the Fredericksburg, VA area. Shifts include full-time afternoons and every other weekend.

Requirements

• Experienced Direct Support Professionals (DSPs)
• Active driver's license with a good driving record
• Acceptable criminal background check
• Minimum of 3 years of driving experience
• No more than 2 moving violations or accidents within past 3 years
• No major violations within past 5 years
• References

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with domestic tasks such as laundry, cleaning, meal planning, cooking, and organizing.
• Help individuals enrich their own lives through exploring volunteer opportunities.
• Support personal care needs.
• Provide transportation.
• Provide any needed advocacy for medical/dental appointments.
• Assist with medication administration.
• Keep accurate notes to ensure continuity of quality care.
• Act as mandated reporters of abuse and neglect for individuals with disabilities.
