About The Position

All Ways Caring HomeCare is seeking empathetic, detail-oriented individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals at our Wasilla Group Home. In this role, you will be an essential part of providing life-changing, compassionate, and individualized hands-on care to those we serve, helping them maintain their dignity, privacy, and independence. Our services are tailored to meet the needs of people of all ages and abilities, including personal care, homemaking, nursing, dementia care, and respite care.

Requirements

Must be 18 years of age or older
Must have a valid driver’s license
Ability to work in a group home, home-like setting
Ability to communicate (verbally and written) with all levels of personnel, internal and external
Responsible, trustworthy, and able to maintain confidentiality
Emotionally intelligent with a high level of empathy and professionalism
Willing to learn medical equipment use and follow care protocols
Able to work assigned shifts with consistency and integrity
Successful pass company and state required pre-employment background checks

Nice To Haves

No prior experience necessary (orientation and paid training provided)

Responsibilities

Performing personal care tasks, including feeding, ambulation, and medical monitoring
Assist with fostering positive relationships between individuals served and their housemates
Ensuring client safety and maintaining a safe environment
Encouraging self-help activities
Accompanying clients to scheduled appointments
